Prize Distribution Ceremony of DIU Inter Department Indoor Games Tournament -2016 held today on August 28, 2016 at Daffodil International University. Professor Dr. Yousuf M Islam, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University was present as the chief guest and distributed prizes among the winners at the program. The function wwas also addressed among others by Mr. Hamidul Haque Khan, Treasurer, Dr. Binoy Barman, Director, Daffodil Institute of Languages, Dr. A B M Kamal Pasha, Convener, DIU Sports Club and Mr. Ishaq Miji, Deputy Registrar  of Daffodil International University.
In the Tournament in Table Tennis (Single) Mossaddique bin Hafiz of CSE Department became Champion while Rezanur Azad Ashik of same Department became Ruuner UP. In Table Tennis (Double): Sakib Ahmed (TE) and Rezanur Azad Ashik (CSE) became Champion, on the other hand Abu Saleh Tanzi+Md Naymul Islam Khan of CSE Department became Runner up.
In Carom Doubles Abdul Halim (CSE)+Md. Rezwanul Islam (CSE) Department became Champion while Md. Shahjahan Khokan (CSE)+ Md Fahim (CSE) became Runner up.

In Chess competition Md Istiak Ali of CSE Department became Champion while Sree Binoy Barman of English Department became Runner Up. In . Basket Ball competition Permanent Campus became champion beating MAIN Campus by 14-11 score. . A total of 500 players both male and female are participating in Table Tennis, Carom, Chess and Computer games competition.

Addressing as the chief guest at prize distribution ceremony Prof. Dr. Yousuf M Islam said, to increase sporting culture and practice and develop interaction among the students of the university, Daffodil International University is organizing this tournament. He also said, From the very beginning Daffodil International University giving highest emphasis on sports besides education and we are trying to build up the university as a sports oriented university and for that all sorts of sports facilities have been setting up gradually. By this time DIU students have proved their success records in SAF Games, Bangladesh Olympic and many other national and international events.
