Green University became Champion and Daffodil International University became Runners up in “DIU Inter University T20 Cricket Tournament 2016”. Today on June 03, 2016 in the final match Green University defeated Daffodil International University by 8 wickets and win the title of “DIU Inter University T20 Cricket Tournament 2016”.

Daffodil International University won the toss and decided to bat first and collected 155 run in 19.4 losing all the wickets. Rakib and Munir of Daffodil International University scored 54 and 34 respectively while Raihan and Mission of Green University took 3 and 2 wickets respectively.
In reply Green University scored 158 run in 18.4 over losing 2 wickets. Sumon of Green University scored 68 (not out) and adjudged as ‘Man of the Final’

Linkon of Daffodil International University won the Best Bats man of the tournament and Raju of Green University won the Best Bowler Award of the Tournament.

Dr. Shri Biren Sikder, Honorable State Minister, Ministry of Youth and Sports, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh was present at the Closing and Prize Distribution Ceremony of Tournament as the chief guest. Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University presided over the ceremony. The function was addressed by Professor Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. Engr. A K M Fazlul Hoque, Registrar, Dr. Mostafa Kamal, Director, Permanent Campus, Dr. A B M Kamal Pasha, Convener and Ishaq Miji, CO –Convener of of the Tournament.
