Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of Daffodil International University (DIU) and Daffodil Group, attended the Silver Jubilee celebration of the Boishakhi Mela and Curry Festival held at Ikebukuro Nishiguchi Park, Tokyo, on 19 April 2026, following an official invitation from the organizers.
The prestigious international event brought together distinguished dignitaries, diplomats, and expatriate leaders from Japan, Bangladesh, and beyond, celebrating Bangladesh’s cultural heritage while strengthening bilateral ties.
Among the notable attendees were H.E. Mr. Md. Daud Ali, Ambassador of Bangladesh to Japan, Fuminori Yokote the Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Japan, along with other high-level representatives from diplomatic and cultural communities.
Dr. Khan’s participation reflects the growing global engagement of Daffodil Group in promoting Bangladesh’s education, culture, and innovation on international platforms. During the event, he engaged with key stakeholders and highlighted the importance of education and entrepreneurship in advancing cross-border collaboration.

Organized by the Japan Bangladesh Society, the Boishakhi Mela and Curry Festival is one of the largest Bangladeshi cultural events in Japan. The Silver Jubilee edition marked 25 years of cultural exchange and community engagement.
