Daffodil International University introduces scholarship in memory of founder Vice Chancellor of the university Professor Dr. Aminul Islam. This was declared today on 30 January 2018 at the commemorating meeting on Late Professor Dr. Aminul Islam held at 71 Milonayoton of the university. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, DIU announced the names of 55 students and handed over the certificate and scholarship money in the program. Mrs. Helena Islam, wife of late Professor Aminul Islam, Professor Dr. Yousuf M Islam, Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. S.M. Mahbub Ul Haque Majumder, Pro-Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Engr. A. K. M. Fazlul Hoque, Registrar, Former Vice Chancellor & Emeritus Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, all Deans, Departmental Heads, teachers, students and officials were also present at the program.

Dr. Md. Sabur Khan said Professor Dr. Aminul Islam was a man of different category. He always welcomes and tried to adapted himself with latest technological changes. He has lot of contribution in Daffodil International University to bring it today’s height, he added. Daffodil International University will always remember his contributions and through introducing this scholarship program in the name of Professor Aminul Islam, Daffodil International University has taken the first initiative of its kind to remember him. 55 meritorious students will get ‘Professor Aminul Islam’ scholarship every year.
