Daffodil International University (DIU) is celebrating Parents’ Day 2025 today, 12 December 2025, at the Daffodil Smart City campus in a warm, emotional, and family-centered environment. Organized by the Art of Living (AOL) program under the Office of Students’ Affairs, the daylong event is creating a unique platform that is strengthening human connection, moral values, and the parent–student–teacher relationship.
More than 2,000 students and their parents are participating in today’s celebration, turning the entire campus into a space filled with heartfelt moments of gratitude, affection, and togetherness. Many students are embracing their parents with tears of joy and emotion, expressing love and appreciation in an atmosphere that is deeply moving for all attendees.
The Chief Guest, renowned Bangladeshi actor, writer, and cultural icon Abul Hayat, is delivering an inspiring address, saying, Parents are the first university in every child’s life. No matter how much the world changes, the love and moral values taught within the family remain a young person’s greatest strength. DIU’s approach to combining humanity with modern education is truly commendable.
Professor Dr. M. R. Kabir, Vice Chancellor of DIU, is expressing gratitude to all parents, stating, Our aim is not only to teach but to nurture character, empathy, and responsibility in our students. Parents’ Day reminds us that behind every student’s success, there is a strong foundation built by the family.

Throughout the day, the event is featuring expressive sessions, cultural performances, parent–teacher–student engagements, gratitude sessions, and the symbolic “Feet-Washing Ceremony,” reflecting profound respect and love. Parents are also visiting the campus facilities and engaging in detailed discussions with DIU officials regarding the academic and personal development of their children.
