DIU Ranks 1st in Bangladesh in THE World University Rankings 2027

Daffodil International University (DIU) secured 1st position in Bangladesh with a total weighted score of 38.42, maintaining its position 801–1000 globally. DIU also ranked 294th globally in research quality. Three more universities from Bangladesh are also ranked in the same global band. Based on the total weighted score, DIU ranks first among Bangladeshi universities.

The achievement reinforces DIU’s growing global standing and reflects its continued progress in research quality, research environment, international outlook, teaching and industry engagement. The university attributes this success to the collective efforts of its faculty members, researchers, students, alumni, and staff in advancing academic excellence, research, innovation, and international collaboration.

DIU has consistently focused on strengthening its research ecosystem, expanding global academic partnerships, enhancing teaching and learning, and advancing its contribution to sustainable development. The university’s continued presence in the global rankings is viewed as an outcome of these long-term institutional efforts. 

Earlier this year, DIU ranked 87th globally and 1st in Bangladesh among 1,603 universities in THE Sustainability Impact Ratings 2026. Besides, DIU is globally recognized in subject areas like Business & Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences, and Medical & Health in THE World University Rankings by Subject 2026
