Prof. Anisul M. Islam, Ph.D, Dept. of Economics and International Business, University of Houston-Downtown, USA distributing certificates among the participants of workshop on International Higher Education as Catalyst for Social Change and Motivating for Love of Motherland

Institutional Quality Assurance Cell of Daffodil International University (DIU) organized a workshop on International Higher Education as Catalyst for Social Change and Motivating for Love of Motherland on August 12, 2016 at its premises, Dhaka, Bangladesh.

Freedom Fighter Prof. Anisul M. Islam, Ph.D, Dept. of Economics and International Business, University of Houston-Downtown, USA graced the program as Chief Guest of the workshop and certificate awarding ceremony. Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Director, IQAC, DIU chaired the session. Prof. Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Additional Director, IQAC, DIU was also present during the workshop. Ms. Nawshin Faezana, Lecturer, Department of Textile Engineering, DIU coordinated the whole workshop.

Dr. Fay Patel, Former Director, Education Management, Monash Universityspeaking at the workshop on "International Higher Education as Catalyst for Social Change and Motivating for Love of Motherland" as key resource person.

 

Dr. Fay Patel, Former Director, Education Management, Monash University facilitated the program as key resource person. She highlighted on the issues like Exploring learning, teaching and research as an ethical, socially responsible and just framework and role of higher education to motivate the students for love of motherland.

Prof. Anisul M. Islam, Ph.D. described the ways how students can try for reading at USA.
In the question answer session lot of enthusiastic students raised several questions. In response to a question, Prof.Anisul M.Ilsam said that in the job market still demand for commerce degree plays important role.
Prof.Anisul M.Islam and Dr.Fay Patel both praised student’s intellectual ability.
A total of forty five students of different departments of the university actively took part in the workshop organized by IQAC, DIU and received certificates from the guests.
