The Department of Business Administration has organized a seminar on “Internal Audit Process: Practical Perspective” on March 14, 2016 at DIU Auditorium (DT-05). The country renowned Internal Audit Practitioner, Mr. Abul Kalam Bhuiyan was the keynote speaker. Professor Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics was present at the seminar as the Chief Guest while Mr. Mohammed Masum Iqbal, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Business Administration graced the program as session chair.
The keynote speaker tried to cover the entire internal audit process from his practical experience. He told internal audit reduces the risk of the organizations and suggested some recommendations for ensuring better performance. Mr. Bhuiyan shared some interesting experience from his life with the students during the question- answering session. Professor Rafiqul Islam focused on the importance of arranging such type of practical experience oriented seminar to develop the practical knowledge of the students. Mr. Mohammed Masum Iqbal also focused on the need for self confidence for the competitive job market. In the welcome address, Mr. Md. Rayhanul Islam, lecturer, Department of Business Administration mentioned that the gap between theoretical and practical knowledge can be reduced by this type of seminar. The entire program has been glorified by the presence of some faculty members of the department. A mentionable number of students of BBA program participated in the seminar.
