Human Resource Development Institute (HRDI) and Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) jointly organized a “Poster Presentation on Research Methodology” at the DIU auditorium on March 14, 2016. A good number of faculty members who had previously attended a training course organized by HRDI on “SPSS and writing journal articles” presented their posters on their respective research topics.

The Poster Presentation event was organized as part of HRDI’s commitment to encourage research based activities among the members of the faculty at Daffodil International University. Before the event today, HRDI had also organized another workshop with these groups of faculty members on "How to develop research based mapping poster for conference” to prepare them for the Poster Presentation session. 

The event was visited by a large number of faculty members and students. Among others, Professor A. M.M. Hamidur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities & Social Science, Professor Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director of International Affairs, Prof. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, PhD, Director, IQAC, Dr. Touhid Bhuiyan, Head, Department of SWE, Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Head Department of Journalism & Mass Communication, Mrs. Farhana Helal Mehtab, Head, Department of Law and Mr. Mohammed Masum Iqbal, Head, Department of Business Administration attended the poster presentations made by the participants and provided their valuable feedback.

Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor of DIU attended the closing ceremony of the event as the Chief Guest and distributed the certificates among the participants. Professor Dr. Engr. A. K. M. Fazlul Hoque, Registrar, DIU, Mr. Feroz Mahmud, Director, HRDI and Dr. Md. Kamrul Hossain, Assistant Professor (Statistics) were also present in the closing ceremony. They also went through all the presentations and appreciated the hard works of the participating faculty members.

In the concluding speech, Hon'ble Vice Chancellor encouraged the young researchers from the faculty members to engage themselves in more research based activities and assured them of full support from the university. In his speech, Professor Dr. Engr. A. K. M. Fazlul Hoque thanked HRDI for organizing such event and mentioned that the momentum should be maintained. The participants in the event demonstrated their high enthusiasm and interests in research. They acknowledged the importance of such initiatives and requested HRDI to organize one such event at least once in each semester.
