Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University distributing educational equipments like bag, pen, writing pad, books etc among the students.
Daffodil Institute of Social Sciences (DISS) and Giyner Pathshala, a voluntary organization of the students of EEE department of Daffodil International University (DIU) organized a social program titled ‘Giner Pathshala Education Carnival-2018’ on 14 February 2018 at 71 Milonayoton of Daffodil International University. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, DIU was spoke on the program as chief guest. Md. Dara Abdus Satter, Assistant Professor & Associate Head, Department of EEE, Ms. Nasreen Akther, Head Mistress of Chhinnumul Govt. Primary School, Mr. Shafiqur Rahman Choudhury, CEO of Share & Care, Sajjad Hossain, Founder of Giyner Pathshala and student of EEE also addressed among others in the program. Beside this Ms. Farhana Haque, Assistant Coordination Officer of DISS, students, teachers, guardians and volunteers of Giyner Pathshala were also present.
The students of Giyner Pathshala presented dance, rendered songs and performed acting and many other cultural activities on the program. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan distributed educational stationary like bag, pen, writing pad, books etc among the students.
Addressing among the students Dr. Md. Sabur Khan said, children are like flowers. We have to give them proper opportunity to flourish. Because, every child has lot of talent and merit hidden himself. If they get proper environment and nursing, they can expore it and becomes successful person in future and can contribute in the society. He also said, DISS will take responsibility to educate these underprivileged destitute children and DISS will also ensure their employment when they complete their higher education. He thanked the students of EEE for conducting Giyner Pathshala through voluntary basis.
It may be noted that, Giyner Pathshala is a voluntary school run by the students of EEE department of Daffodil International University at Dhanmondi and Modhubazar from 2017 and at present the number of students is 65 while all the students are underprivileged.
