Gusts at the 1st DIU Public Health Awareness Day-2016 held at Dffodil International University  

Department of Public Health Daffodil International University observed the 1st DIU Public Health Awareness Day-2016 on April 02, 2016 at Banquet Hall, DT-05, Shobhanbagh, Dhaka-1207 to flourish the department’s activities as well as create health awareness like blood donation, blood pressure measuring, ECG & Ultrasonogram, vaccination awareness, dental check-up, blood glucose level measurement among the students, faculties, officials and others potential candidates interested to enroll in MPH Program at DIU.

National Professor Dr. Shahla Khatun, Chairman, Green Life Medical College Hospital was present the imagural session as the chief guest while Dr. Aminul Islam, Professor Emeritus, Professor Dr. A. I. Mustafa, Dean, FAHS and Professor Dr. Hafiz T.A. Khan, International Advisor of Daffodil International University were present as the special guests. The Session was chaired by the honorable vice- Chancellor of DIU Prof. Dr. Yousuf M. Islam .

In fist part of the Program, the country renowned institutions like Centre for Medical Ultrasound (CMUD) , Bangladesh Institute of Imaging and Research(BJIR) , Medicine Club, Dr. Nahid Dental Care, Perfect Health International, Public Health Foundation Bangladesh,
Somali Students Association of DIU demonstrated their activities on Public Health issues.

In the scientific session Eminent Public Health expert including Prof. Dr. Muzaherul Hoq, President, Public Health foundation Bangladesh, Prof. Dr. Abu Sayeed of Ibrahim Medical College, Dr. Mustafa Zaman of World Health Organization , Prof. Dr SM Keramat Ali. Prof. Dr. MSA Mansur Ahmed and seven others researcher made valuable presentation on various important issues on Public Health .

Honorable Chairman, Board of Trustees, DIU Mr. Md Sabur Khan attended the scientific sessions and visited different stalls which was valuable source of inspiration among the organizers of the 1st Day long DIU Public Health Awareness Day.

Dr. Md Shahjahan, Associate Professor & Head, Dept. of Public Health, DIU overviewed the present activities of the department.

Dr. Salamat Khandker, Dr. Nadira Mehriban, Dr. ABM Alauddin Chowdhury, Mohd Arifuzzaman of Public Health Department and Mr. Md Ishaque Mijee Deputy Registrar, DIU contributed whole heartedly to make the program grand success.
