9- member DIU Delegate joins the ‘World Islamic Countries University Leaders Summit 2016’ in Malaysia

Prof. Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor of DIU along with other faculty members at 2nd World Islamic Countries University Leaders Summit (WICULS) 2016 held in Malaysia

The 2nd World Islamic Countries University Leaders Summit (WICULS) 2016 has been started in Malaysia since 14th November 2016 at the Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT), Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. It will be continued till 20th November 2016. The Summit has been jointly organized by Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM), and Higher Education Leadership Academy (AKEPT), Ministry of Higher Education, Malaysia. Daffodil International University (DIU), Dhaka has joined the Summit as an International Partner. A 9-member delegate led by Prof. Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Hon’ble Vice-Chancellor, DIU has joined the Summit representing DIU as an International Partner. Other members of the DIU delegates are: Prof. Dr. Farid A. Sobhani, Professor, Department of Business Administration; Ms. Liza Sharmin, Associate Professor, Department of English; Dr. Md. Kamrul Hossain, Assistant Professor, Department of Natural Sciences; Mr. Md. Maruf Hassan , Assistant Professor, Department of SWE; Ms. Fatema Begum Laboni, Sr. Lecturer, Department of English; Mr. Md. Sadekur Rahman, Sr. Lecturer, Department of CSE; Ms. Nazia Nishat, Sr. Lecturer, Department of SWE; and Mr. Khalid Been Md. Badruzzaman Biplob, Lecturer, Department of SWE.
A total of 50 research papers will be presented in the Summit out of which DIU participants will present 8 papers in the areas of Guided Leadership and Academic Ethics, Intellectualism in Higher Education, Humanizing the University, Self-leadership, Identity and Human Governance, Wisdom and Leadership, and Funding Education Institutions.
About 70 university leaders, academicians and presenters from different corners of the globe namely Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Singapore, Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, Iraq, Iran, Sudan, Bosnia, Turkey, Netherlands, and Australia attended the Summit.
