Ahmed, Lead Consultant & CEO of Future Leaders & Ms. Alkona K. Choudhuri, Director, Human Resources of STS Holdings Limited along with 16 candidates selected for appointment as Apprentice.

With the theme “Discover the Leadership Inside You”, the final session of Apprentice selection process of Apprenticeship Project 2016 patronized by Daffodil International University (DIU) held on recently at Daffodil Tower 05 through a daylong TV show, formally recorded in DIU Media Lab where 16 candidates were selected for appointment as Apprentice.

Mr. Md. Musharrof Hossain, President, BSHRM, Mr. Quazi M. Ahmed, Lead Consultant & CEO of Future Leaders & Ms. Alkona K. Choudhuri, Director, Human Resources of STS Holdings Limited were present in the program as External Judge. The session was presided over by Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University & Daffodil Group.

The first phase of selection process of Apprenticeship program took place on June 16, 2016 where around 500 graduates & alumni participated, 51 were selected for the next phases, out of them 16 candidates were selected for appointment as Apprentice for 3 months training (by rotation) in different concerns under Daffodil Group.

The whole process of the project covered: dress code, technology friendliness, punctuality, body gesture, attitude, communication, manners, question & answer, presentation, viva, IQ, English and general knowledge quiz and written tests, TV show among other criteria.

Apprenticeship is a new concept in Bangladesh initiated by DIU management as a part to develop employability skills of the graduates. Under this program, best fit candidates will be finally recruited and groomed up as “Apprentice” under the top leader and decision making management of DIU and Daffodil Group, and other corporate bodies in future.

After this competitive and neutral selection, all these apprentices will have the opportunity to begin first career training under the leaders of Daffodil Group through continuous groom up and development till the final shape of professionalism.
