Country’s renowned ICT personality Professor Dr. Mohammad Kaikobad along with Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, of Daffodil International University visits the Programming Contest held today at the 3 day Daffodil ICT Carnival.

2nd day of Daffodil ICT Carnival gains momentum with Programming Contest, IT Olympiad and Multimedia, Graphics design and Animation Contest. Country’s renowned ICT personality Professor Dr. Mohammad Kaikobad was present as the chief guest at the carnival and inaugurated the contests. Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Professor Dr. Yousuf M Islam, Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University, Mohammed Nuruzzaman, CEO, Daffodil Family and head of the departments were present during the inauguration of the contests. In the contests of more than one thousand contestants Computer Science & Engineering Department (CSE), Software Engineering Department (SWE), Multi Media & Creative Technology Department (MCT), Computing & Information System Department (CIS) and Daffodil Education Network took part.

The winners, best innovators and performers will be awarded a smart cash incentive which is worth of Tk. 1 million. The closing and award giving ceremony of the 3 day Carnival will be held tomorrow on 13th February 2018.
Besides different contest three day carnival includes Project Showcase, Smart Hakathon, Counseling and mentoring, Fun events, learning opportunity, Networking scope and many more.

Addressing as chief guest while inaugurating the contests Professor Dr. Mohammad Kaikobad said, Bangladesh has a proven track of talents and scholars like, Jogodhish Chandra Basu, Satten Sen, Meghnath Saha and many others who glorified and enriched the history of the country. Now a days lots of Bangladeshi citizen are working in world’s largest and renowned institutions by din’t of their merit. He urged the students to follow their path and come forward with latest innovation using their merit and talent in the field of ICT which is now a thrust sector in global perspective. He emphasized on the importance of arranging such type of carnival for flourishing and explore the hidden talents of the prospective students.
