Department of Business Administration in association with The Career Development Center (CDC) of Daffodil International University organized a seminar on “Prospects of Insurance Industry in Bangladesh” on 12th August, 2015 at DIU Auditorium. Mr. Mohammad Habibul Bahar, Senior Executive Vice President and Branch In-Charge of Principal Branch, Green Delta Insurance Company Ltd, was present as a key note speaker in the seminar. Professor Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics attended the program as Chief Guest. Ms. Sabera, Assistant Vice President of Green Delta Insurance Company Ltd was also present in the session. Mr. Syed Maruf Reza, Director, CDC was present as special guest. Faculty Members of Business Administration: Nurul Mohammad Zayed, Senior Lecturer, Fatema Nusrat Chowdhury, Lecturer, and Rozina Akter, Lecturer of Business Administration were present and glorified the seminar.

Professor Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, has focused on the prospects and purpose of insurance industry in context of Bangladesh Demand of 21st century.
The keynote speaker on his speech expressed and highlighted the mechanism & career prospects of insurance industry in Bangladesh. Nearly 200 students were present on the seminar to have a keen knowledge and idea about insurance industry as a career and the overview of this industry which has a vast linkage with grass roots level of people.

After that the Host of the event on his/her concluding speech thanks the entire distinguished guest for arranging such an auspicious event. He presented the job prospect of Insurance Industry in global and local job market. All the speakers focused on the importance of current challenges of local and international job market provided various tips forincreasing the awareness of personnel grooming and career related guideline to prepare the students themselves competent for the job market and upcoming challenges of this related Industry.

It is mentionable that Department of Business Administration and Career Development Center-CDC of Daffodil International University are gradually conducting series of Seminar, Career Talk and Career Counseling Session with the graduating students under different faculties of Daffodil International University.
