Bangladesh Garment Manufacturer and Exporters Association (BGMEA) has organized a training program on Quality Assurance and Textile Testing as a part of Skills for Employment Investment Project (SEIP) in collaboration with the Department of Textile Engineering, Daffodil International University (DIU). Two DIU faculty members, Mr. Tanvir Ahmed Chowdhury, Assistant Professor and Mr. Md. Mominur Rahman, Senior Lecturer worked as instructor and made all kind of collaboration for the course. This training program and all kinds of collaboration are advised by Prof. Dr. S. M. Mahbul-Ul-Haque Majumder, Pro-VC of Daffodil International University and Prof. Dr. Engr. Mahbubul Haque, Head, Department of Textile Engineering. They have also conducted special lecture in the training program.

The Certificate Award Ceremony of the 1st Batch of this program held on November 03, 2016 in Apparel Club of BGMEA Bhaban. In the certificate award ceremony Mr. Jalal Ahmed, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Finance & National Project Director, SEIP was present as Chief Guest and Prof. Dr. Nizamuddin, VC; BUFT was present as Special Guest. The program chair was Md. Siddiqur Rahman, President; BGMEA.

30 DIU students among 200 total participants got certificate based on the training on "Quality Assurance & Textile Testing". On the successful completion of 1st Batch they have consent to start 2nd and 3rd Batch. Apart from this, 2nd Batch training is going on and 3rd batch will commence very soon.
