A 20-member delegation from Bangladesh, led by Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) Bangladesh and Daffodil International University, is participating in the prestigious Global Entrepreneurship Congress (GEC) 2025, being held from 2 to 5 June in Indianapolis, USA.
This year’s participation underscores Bangladesh’s commitment to fostering global collaboration in innovation, entrepreneurship development, and investment opportunities. The delegation, which includes leaders from academia, financial institutions, ecosystem enablers, and promising startup founders, aims to strengthen international cooperation and bring home innovative ideas, policy insights, and scalable models to enhance the local entrepreneurship ecosystem.
Speaking about the goals of the delegation, Dr. Sabur Khan said, “Our vision is to bridge local innovation with global partnerships. We want to ensure that our entrepreneurs — both aspiring and established — have better access to knowledge, investment, and international networks. GEC is the best platform to explore how entrepreneurship ecosystems are being shaped around the world.”
GEN Bangladesh’s key focus at GEC 2025 includes: Building strategic innovation partnerships, Exploring access to funding for Bangladeshi startups, Learning best practices on entrepreneurship policy and ecosystem building, Promoting Bangladesh as a hub for inclusive and impact-driven entrepreneurship
As a major contributor to GEN’s global activities, Daffodil International University continues to play a pioneering role in fostering youth entrepreneurship in Bangladesh. This November, GEN Bangladesh will launch GEN Campus, a flagship entrepreneurship hub dedicated to nurturing student and youth-led startups across the country.
The participation at GEC 2025 marks another milestone in Bangladesh’s growing global engagement in the entrepreneurship space and reinforces the country’s commitment to inclusive, digitally enabled economic transformation.
