2 DIU students win Mitacs Globalink Research Award
Md Sabbir Hossain and Md Asaduzzaman- two students of Software Engineering Department (Major in Cyber Security) of Daffodil International University (DIU) got selected for the prestigious Mitacs Globalink Research Award. The Mitacs Globalink Research Award (GRA) program supports research collaborations between Canada and eligible countries and regions through intern(s) international mobility. Under the joint supervision of home Supervisors Prof. Dr. Imran Mahmud and Dr. Rubaiyat Islam of SWE, DIU and host supervisor Dr. Ajmery Sultana of Algoma University, Canada two DIU Softare Engineering Department’s students have received this award.
The collaboration is between participating researchers from the Software Engineering Department of Daffodil International University (DIU) and Algoma University, Canada through the support of Mitacs, the organization fostering growth and innovation through international collaborations in the domain of Quantum Computing Research.
Starting their journey at the end of May, these two students will spend 12 weeks working on the project titled "Blockchain smart contract vulnerability detection using Quantum Convolutional Neural Network". Each student will receive 6000 Canadian Dollars as research internship grant during this 12 week stay in Canada.
