‘19th IAGBT-KIRTI Biannual Conference and Research Symposium’ held today on 08 January 2018 at Daffodil International University. 51 presenters, including both international and domestic delegates from Bangladesh, China, Korea, Philippines and USA, has presented 27 scientific papers in the Conference.

Dr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University presented a paper on ‘Dynamics of Organizational Change Management’ as the keynote speaker on the seminar. Another keynote speaker Chair Professor Ki-Kwan Yoon was also presented a paper titled ‘Policy Actions for Bangladesh to Graduate from LDC Status by 2025’. Presided over by Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor, DIU, the seminar was also addressed by Prof. Soon-Hwan Jeon, Chairman of IAGBT and President of KITRI, Korea, Prof. Chang-Bum Choi, Chung-Ang University, Korea, Prof. Gyoung-Gyu Choi, President of APEC Studies Association of Korea, Korea, Prof. Julieta A. de los Reyes, Assistant Chancellor of University of the Philippines, Philippines, Prof. Rafiqul Islam, Faculty of Business & Economics, DIU, Professor Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director, International Affairs, DIU, Mohammad Masum Iqbal, Dean (In Charge), Faculty of Business and Economics, DlU. Beside this Professor Dr. Engr. A. K. M. Fazlul Hoque, Registrar, Mr. Mohamed Emran Hossain, Director (Administration), Prof. Dr. Md Kabirul Islam, Director of Research, Professor Dr. Farid A Sobhani, Dean, HRDI, Mr. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, CEO, Daffodil Family were also present at the inaugural program with among others.

With the theme of “Sustaining the Momentum of Global Business and Trade Transformation” the 19th IAGBT-KITRI conference was held with association of the International Academy of Global Business and Trade (IAGBT), THE Korea International Trade Research Institute (KITRI), Asian Trade Association (ATA), APEC Studies Association of Korea, BK+Chung-Ang University ‘Global Leader Project Team of Next Generation Trade and Logistics’, and Daffodil International University.
The objectives of this conference are to share ideas, to engage values, work and the world. Its mission is to act as a forum where academics and researchers from all over the world can meet to exchange ideas on their research and discuss future developments within their disciplines. Dhaka, Bangladesh is chosen as the meeting place because of its long history and vibrant culture.
Addressing at the inauguration session Dr. Md. Sabur Khan said that development of an employee is must for the development of an organization. Mentioning the reference of immediate changes of appointing new CEO in COO in Daffodil Family Dr. Md. Sabur Khan said, top leaders should skilled up their subordinates in an institution to accelerate its activities. Dr. Khan said, we would not alive forever in this earth. Today or tomorrow we all have to passes away. So that, in spite of the absence of top leader, for continuation of an organizational structure we have to create leader within the organization.
Dr. Khan discussed the importance of change management, and importance of changing mentality of adapting management change etc in the paper presentation session.
