Winners of Social Business Case Competition-2016 along with Professor Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics and other guests.
Team Triunfo (a combined team of DU & BUP) has become champion while team Socio Miner from IBA, DU and DOFAROFA from EWU have become 1st and 2nd runner up in the
grand finale of Social Business Case Competition-2016 (SBCC- 2016) organized by Social Business Students Forum (SBSF) held on December 10, 2016 at Digital Class Room of Daffodil International University. . Prize money of BDT 10,000; 6,000 and 4,000 have been awarded to the winning team, 1st runner up and 2nd runner up. In addition to that all 3 teams have received a tuition waiver worth BDT 5,000 on the ‘Social Business Short Course’ that is organized by DIU partnering with Yunus Center.
Teams from leading universities of the country including IBA, University of Dhaka, Jahangirnagar University, Army Institute of Business Administration (AIBA), East West University (EWU), American International University Bangladesh (AIUB), Bangladesh University of Professional (BUP), Association of Certified Chartered Accountant (ACCA), Oxford Brooks University and host Daffodil International University (DIU) have participated in this competition to take the challenge to prove their merit.
This was a month long competition where the skills of problem solving and presentation have been tested to the deep through solving real life social business case scenario. Mr. Tonmoy, Director, Strategy - CRAVEEE Visionary, Co-founder, Case Doctor, Former Global Co-President - ShARE Global; Mr. A.K.M. Zaid Uddin, Assistant Program Officer, Yunus Centre; Mr. Masud Ibn Rahman, Associate Professor, Faculty of Business and Economics, Head, Social Business Cell, Daffodil International University, Visiting Professor, Universitas Ubudiyah Indonesia; Mr. Mohammed Masum Iqbal, Associate Professor and Head, Department of Business Administration; Mr. Md. Kamruzzaman, Lecturer, Department of Business Administration, FDP, Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad; Mr. Mahbub Parvez, Associate Professor, Department of Business Administration and Ms. Sabiha Matin Bipasha, Lecturer, Department of Business Administration performed the honorable work of judging the participants.
Professor Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economic was present in the award giving ceremony as the chief guest. Social Business Creation, HEC Montreal (Canada) was the valued partner of this competition.
