Mr. Khandakar Rakibur Rahman, Director General, Department of Narcotics Control addressing as the chief guest at the discussion meeting on “ Role of Young generation to prevent Drug Addiction Militancy” held at Daffodil International University organized by Madokdrobby o Nesha Nirodh Sangstha (MANAS) in Association with Daffodil International University ( DIU).
Madokdrobby o Nesha Nirodh Sangstha (MANAS) in Association with Daffodil International University ( DIU) hold a discussion on “ Role of Young generation to prevent Drug Addiction Militancy” today at DIU Auditorium. Mr. Khandakar Rakibur Rahman, Director General, Department of Narcotics Control of Ministry of Home Affairs was present in the program as the chief guest while Professor Dr. Yousuf M Islam, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University was present as the special guest. Founder President of Madokdrobby o Nesha Nirodh Sangstha ( MANAS) Professor Dr. Arup Ratan Chowdhury presented the Keynote paper in and presided over the seminar. The seminar was also addressed among others by Prof. Dr. S M M ahabub Ul Haque Majumder, Acting Pro- Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Engr. A K M Fazlul Hoque, Registrar, Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director (Student Affairs) and Al Mukitul Bari, Student Representative of Daffodil International University and Organizing Secretary of MANAS Mr. Motiur Rahman Talukder.
While presenting the keynote Paper Founder President of Madokdrobby o Nesha Nirodh Sangstha (MANAS) Professor Dr. Arup Ratan Chowdhury said, Parents are not looking after their children as like as old days parents. Due to business of parents with professional life, most of the children are brought up by their maid servants. So, the children are not getting proper and ideal education which they would got from their parents and they are growing up in their own way and walk in danger way also becoming addicted and joins in militancy. He stressed that only triangular relation ship of Parents –teachers – students can play the vital role to remove drug addiction and antimilitancy from the society.
Addressing as the chief guest Mr. Khandakar Rakibur Rahman, Director General, Department of Narcotics Control said that there is a close relationship between drug addiction and militancy. If we can control the illegal use of drugs, we would be able to remove the militancy from the society. He urged the institutions to encourage and increase the practice of sports and cultural activities throughout the year to refrain the students from drug addiction and militancy. He urged the students to gain mental strength of avoiding drugs and also stressed on the need of family support in this regards.
