Textile Engineering (TE) Department became Champion while Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department became Runner Up in Daffodil International University Inter Department Cricket Tournament- 2016. Today in the Final Match held at Permanent Campus of the university at Ashulia Textile Engineering (TE) defeated Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) by 2 wickets.

Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department won the toss and decided to bat first and collected 94 runs within stipulated 10 over losing 6 wickets. In reply Textile Engineering (TE) collected 96 runs losing 8 wickets and won by 2 wickets. Jewel of Textile Engineering (TE) adjudged as the ‘Man of the Match’ while Shariful Saikat of Business Administration adjudged as the “Man of the Tournament”

Professor Dr. Yousuf M Islam, Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University was present as the chief guest at the award giving ceremony and distributed prizes among the champion and Runner up team. Professor Dr. Mostafa Kamal, Director (Permanent Campus) and Dr. A B M Kamal Pasha, Advisor, DIU Sports club were also present at the award giving ceremony.
