Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, DIU along with other distinguished guests cutting the cake to celebrate the 3rd Founding Anniversary of the Department of Daffodil International University.
To celebrate and share the experience of earlier days, Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management organized a grant ceremonial event which was held on October 09, 2016, at Banquet Hall of Daffodil International University. This gigantic event was presided over by Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor, DIU, Mr. Hamidul Haque Khan, Treasurer, DIU, Professor Dr. Rafiqul Islam, Dean Faculty of business and economics, DIU, Mr. Mahbub Parvez, Head, Department of Tourism and Hospitality Management, other faculty members, and industrial experts were also present in this event.
The main purpose of the event was to share the practical knowledge, experience, moments and story from last previous years. Moreover, sharing future scope and career opportunity in this industry to encourage, and motivate the students of the department. Students are in a cheers mood at 3rd Founding Anniversary of the department of Tourism and Hospitality Management of Daffodil International University
Industrial experts, who have vast experience in the field of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, shared their professional experience of long time career in this sector. They said, comparatively Bangladesh has developed the Hospitality Industry than the previous years. Now besides our government, private sectors need to take initiatives to develop the sector of our country, because we need to keep in the trend of rapid growth, future career of the sector in the world. Moreover, they said, the hospitality industry offers a wide variety of jobs surprisingly across a broad range of sectors, from hotels, restaurants and events to finance and luxury retail. It is considered one of the highest paid salaried jobs in the world.
In a nutshell, the students enjoyed the event with drama, music, dance and various cultural activities. They ensured proper hospitality of the guest and collected the signature along with feedback from the guest on a particular board. It was undoubtedly a memorable day for the students.
