Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Director, IQAC, DIU handing over a crest to Professor Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Head, Quality Assurance Unit, UGC at the workshop on Quality Teaching in Higher Education held at Daffodil International University.
Institutional Quality Assurance Cell of Daffodil International University (DIU) organized a workshop on Quality Teaching in Higher Education on the occasion of Teachers’ day on 5 October, 2016 at its city campus premises.
Professor Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Head, Quality Assurance Unit, UGC and former VC, Jagannath University graced the workshop as Chief Guest while Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Director, IQAC, DIU made a presentation as the key resource person of the workshop where he highlighted the scope and ways of quality teaching at higher education institutes. Ms. Tanzina Hossain, Assistant Professor and Director, Academic (in-charge), Uttara Campus, DIU chaired the workshop. Prof. Dr. Bholanath Dutta, President, MTC Global, India; Prof. S. M. Kabir, Department of Marketing, University of Rajshahi and Prof. Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain were present as Special Guest. At the same time, Professor Dr. Serajul Islam Pradhan, Director, IQAC, Dhaka International University was also present as Guest of Honor.
Professor Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmed in his speech praised the activities and efforts of IQAC of Daffodil International University as it has been doing international workshops, training faculty members including inductive, digital education, autistic, ILO, student’s love for motherland, research and extension. Prof. Dr. Bholanath Dutta, President, MTC Global, India personally handed over the ‘MTC Global Visionary in Education -2016 ‘ award to Chief Guest Prof. Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmed, Head, QAU, UGC, Bangladesh on the occasion of the teacher’s day. A book titled “Factors affecting entrepreneurial management in Bangladesh- an empirical analysis’ authored by Dr. Muhammad Mahaboob Ali, Director- IQAC, DIU and Dr. Vichayanan Rattanawiboonsom of Naresuan University, Thailand got released in the workshop. Prof. Dr. Bholanath Dutta argued that this thesis work should get greater exposure as it indicated lot of potentialities in the country’s economic development. Prof. Dr. Mesbahuddin Ahmed also praised the book as it is an in-depth study. Around forty faculty members of Daffodil International University participated in the workshop.
