A special lecture on “Crime & Investigative Reporting” was organized at the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Daffodil International University at 5:00 pm on 26-09-2011 (Monday) by Ms Amy Herdy, a renowned Investigative Journalist and Journalism Instructor of U.S.A.

Professor Dr. M. Golam Rahman, Dean, Faculty OF Humanities and Social Science chaired the session. Ms. Patricia A. Hill, Press & Information Officer, Ms. Marina Yasmin, Chief, Press Section of The American Center and Ms. Ameena Islam, Head, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication were also present as the guest of Honor during the lecture,

Ms Amy Herdy, a renowned Investigative Journalist and Journalism

Instructor of U.S.A is seen to deliver her lecture

Ms. Amy Herdy has specialized for nearly 20 years in covering crime for both television and print newsrooms.


During her career Ms. Herdy has won awards for her work in journalism, including an Emmy for  an investigative television series she produced on the misconduct of public officials, among other awards.
