With the aim to inform and motivate the educated youths of the struggle and challenges faced on route to success by the well known entrepreneurs of the country, Innovation and Incubation Center (IIC) of Daffodil International University (DIU) has taken the initiative where country’s renowned 12 successful well known Entrepreneurs will took part in these lecture series gradually titled “Daffodil International University Industry Academia Lecture Series on Entrepreneurship Development “ in different episode and will deliver their success story.
Mr. Md. Mozibar Rahman, Chairman, BRB Cables Industries Ltd. delivered the 3rd lecturer of the series on “Journey of a Struggling Entrepreneur” today on August 20, 2016 at DIU Auditorium as a part of its continuous process. Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University delivered the welcome address in the program. The program was also addressed by Mr. Hamidul Haque Khan, Treasurer, Daffodil International University, Alhaj Sufi Mizanur Rahaman, Chairman, PHP Group, Md. Parvez Rahman, Managing Director, BRB Cables Industries Ltd., Md. Abu Taher, Director, Innovation and Incubation Center (IIC) of DIU. The program was moderated by Syed Mizanur Rahman Raju, Director (Student Affairs). A large number of students, country’s renowned industrialists, business leaders, economists, teachers, researchers, secretaries, ambassadors and elites of the civil society were present at the program. Md. Mozibar Rahman answered lot of questions of the students in the question –answer session and finally Md. Sabur Khan, Chairm,an, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University handed over a memento to Mr. Md. Mozibar Rahman, Chairman, BRB Cables Industries Ltd.

The lectures of these 12 successful entrepreneurs will be compiled and published as a book which will act as a reference book for the students of Business Administration, Economics and Entrepreneurship Development department. This book will help the students to learn and understand their gained academic knowledge in perspective of real life experience. Initiative has been taken to develop 12 individual video documentaries on these successful entrepreneurs from Innovation and Incubation Center (IIC) of Daffodil International University.
While delivering Md. Mozibar Rahman told the audience the tale of the struggles he made to reach this level of success. He started his business in 1980 at BSCIC Industrial Estate Kustia in a very limited scale keeping the target of domestic market only. But, later on he entered into the international market with BRB Cable Industries Ltd along with its other sister concern like Kiyam Metal Industries, MRS Industries, BRB Polymer with great name and fame.
He said that the market possibilities of the different Bangladesh products are spreading all over the world and we will have to find out those opportunities and will have to utilize them.

Inspiring the students he reminded that morality, integrity and well disciplined mentality are not only the subject matters of prayers room, but also the matter of every aspect of life we have to follow it. Students should learn practical knowledge and skills besides academic knowledge strengthening industry-academia linkage, so that employers can get targeted professional experts for their industry. He urged the students to become knowledgeable, hard working to succeed in life.
