Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University addressing the workshop organized by Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Daffodil International University (DIU) on “How to Comply with Continuous Improvement Plan”
The Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Daffodil International University (DIU) organized a workshop on “How to Comply with Continuous Improvement Plan” on August 09, 2016 at University conference room. Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University was present as the chief guest. The workshop was addressed by Prof. Bholanath Dutta, Founder and President, MTC Global, India; Mr. Voravate Chonlasin, Senior Quality Assurance Specialist, AIT Extension, Thailand; Ms. Narumon Wangnai, Program Specialist and Head, Education & Training Development Program, AIT Extension, Thailand and Mr. Mohamed Emran Hossain, Director, Administration of DIU. Professor Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Director, IQAC, DIU chaired the workshop.
While Addressing Mr. Md. Sabur Khan ensured that DIU has been taking all steps which are necessary for improvement of quality of the university and turning it as a global university. He praised the accreditation system of the present government of Bangladesh and observed that the activities of IQAC, DIU are in the right track which has created a milestone in the entire university.
Mr. Voravate Chonlasin said that the potential sectors of cooperation between DIU and AIT should be identified so that close relationship can be ensured. AIT will maintain further communication with Director, IQAC and Director, International Affairs, DIU, he added.
DIU is well ahead of other universities of Bangladesh in comparison with the utilization of IT in higher education, opined by Prof. Bholanath Dutta while Mr. Mohamed Emran Hossain stated that DIU has its own set of goals and objectives to transform it into a global standard university. Ms. Narumon Wangnai added that a lot of quality activities are being done at DIU including proper lesson plan which are really praiseworthy.
Among others, Prof. Dr. Asaduzzaman, Additional Director, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell, Chittagong University of Engineering &Technology; Prof. Dr. Md. Nazrul Islam, Director, Institutional Quality Assurance Cell, Sylhet Agricultural University; Professor Dr. M Mozahar Ali, Director, Graduate Training Institute (GTI), Bangladesh Agricultural University; Professor Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Director, International Affairs & Additional Director, IQAC, DIU; Syed Mizanur Rahman Raju, Head, Department of Journalism and Mass Communication; Farhana Helal Mehtab, Head, Department of Law, DIU and Mr. Mohammed Masum Iqbal, Head, Department of Business Administration were also present in the workshop.
