Institutional Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) of Daffodil International University organized an International Workshop on “Achieving Corporate Social Responsibility, Ethics and Corporate Governance in Higher Education” on July 29, 2016 at the university auditorium.
Dr. Fay Patel, Former Director, Education Management, Monash University, Malaysia facilitated the workshop as key resource person. During her presentation towards faculties of different departments of DIU, Dr. Patel highlighted the significant issues like: Social responsibility, ethics, governance in higher education, why social responsibility, ethics and governance in higher education?, taking corporate out of higher education, issues, dilemmas and concerns regarding governance, Bloom’s taxonomy, ILOs & global engagement dimensions, CSR and Corporate Governance, Higher education relations to social responsibility etc.
Professor Anisul M. Islam, Ph.D, University of Houston Downtown, USA graced the closing session of the workshop as Chief Guest. Prof. Dr. Bholanath Dutta, Founder and President, MTC Global, India was present as Special Guest while Prof. Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Additional Director, IQAC, DIU was present as Guest of Honor.Prof. Dr. Muhammad Mahboob Ali, Director, IQAC, DIU chaired the whole session. The participants were provided with a certificate as recognition of their active participation in the International Workshop.
