Daffodil International University formed Anti-militancy human chain in front of its campus on Mirpur Road from Road No.27to Rassel Square in Dhanmondi Area to commemorate those who were killed in Gulshan and Sholakia attacks and protesting against militancy.
Daffodil International University formed Anti-militancy human chain today on August 01, 2016 in front of its campus on Mirpur Road from Road No.27to Rassel Square in Dhanmondi Area to commemorate those who were killed in Gulshan and Sholakia attacks and protesting against militancy. The one hour human chain began at 11.00am and accompanied by rallies, mass signature and meetings. Prof. Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University was present as the chief guest while Mr. Hamidul Haque Khan, Treasurer of the university was present as the special guests. The program was also addressed by Prof. Dr. Engr. A K M Fazlul Hoque, Registrar, Mr. Mohammed Emran Hossain, Member, Board of Trustees and Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director (Student Affairs).

Directorate of Student Affairs organized the program in association with BNCC and Air Rover Unit. 7-8 thousand students of 24 clubs of the university under their banners, play cards and festoon s with Anti-militancy slogan took part in the program. The program was organized as a part of nationwide central program declared by the Bangladesh University Grants Commission (UGC) and Association of Non Government Private Universities of Bangladesh. At the end of the meeting a rally protesting against militancy brought from the campus and surrounded the main streets of the city.
Students teachers and administration people brought out a rally against Militancy and Terrorism at the end of forming human chain.
Addressing as the chief guest Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University Prof. Dr. Yousuf M. Islam said, from the very beginning Daffodil International University playing strong role against Militancy and Terrorism and associating Government and law enforcing agencies to prevent militancy and will also extend cooperation to do everything in coming days.

While addressing as special guest Treasurer Mr. Hamidul Haque Khan praised the students for their devotion and dedication for the university to uphold the image and reputation of their university. He wished students and teachers will prevent militancy and terrorism and urged the guardians to take care of their children so that they can’t be involved in such type of militant activities. He advised the student’s- teachers and guardians to be more friendly and interactive.
