Daffodil International University Model United Nations Association (DIUMUNA) organized a workshop on “Model UN and its activities” held on July 26, 2016 at DIU Digital Classroom. Dr. Touhid Bhuyan, Moderator of Daffodil International University Model United Nations Association (DIUMUNA) and Head of the Department of Software Engineering Department was present as the chief guest at the workshop. The session was taken by Ms. Sanzeeda Munir Prova, Dhaka University Model United Nations Association, Mr. Chayan Kumar Sen, National University Model United Nation Association and Mr. Faisal Rashid, North South University Model United Nations Club and they introduced Model UN activities around the world of youth. The program was presided over by Naim-Us-Shaafi (Member, Ad-Hoc committee, DIUMUNA) and Rezoana Hossain Khan (Member, Ad-Hoc committee, DIUMUNA) delivered the vote of thanks at the program.
Model United Nations (MUN) is an educational simulation or academic competition where students can learn about Diplomacy, International Relations and the United Nations. MUN also involves and teaches on researching, public speaking, debating and writing skills.
The speakers motivated the students to participating in Model UN activities, which will create future diplomats and will represent Bangladesh in Model UN or other relevant platform.
