National Mourning Day observed at Daffodil International University

Daffodil International University observed the 36th death anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and National Mourning Day today with due respect recalling the August 15, 1975 carnage, when Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was killed along with most of his family members.

As a part of this program marking the occasion a discussion meeting and Milad mahfil and munajat was offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls after Asar prayer at the Auditorium of Daffodil International University. Professor Mohammad Amirul Islam, Principal, Bangladesh Dental College and political colleague of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman was present on the occasion as the chief guest while Professor Dr. Aminul Islam, Emeritus Professor Daffodil International University were present on the occasion as the special guests. Presided over by Prof. Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University the function was addressed by Prof. Dr. Golam Maowla Chowdhury, Proctor & Head, Dept. of ETE. The function was also attended by all the Head of the Departments and Deans of different Faculties. A Large number of Faculty members, Officers, employees and students were present on the occasion.
