Department of Entrepreneurship of Daffodil International University (DIU) organized a daylong program titled “StartUp Expo-2016” in association with Bangladesh Venture Capital Ltd., Innovation and Incubation Center (IIC) and Career Development Center (CDC). The expo was held on June 19, 2016 at Daffodil International University premises.
Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University inaugurated the Expo as the chief guest. Mr. Abu Taher Khan, Project Director, Innovation and Incubation Center (IIC) and other top management of DIU were also present at the program.
StartUp Expo-2016 is a unique opportunity for young entrepreneurs to exhibit their business idea, concept and product; expose their product to the potential investors and customers to boost up their network. The motto of the event was ‘Learning by Doing’. A total of 20 startup companies owned by the students of different departments of DIU were participated at StartUp Expo-2016.
Mr. Syed Maruf Reza, Associate Professor & Head, Department of Entrepreneurship of DIU led the expo and from now Department of Entrepreneurship will organize this Start-Up Expo at least twice in every semester to provide the students with necessary support to be successful entrepreneurs in future.
