Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees and Prof. Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University and other distinguished guests along with the winners of Champion team of international Short Film competition titled “We Art Water Film Festival 2015-2016”
Bangladesh for the first time won the championship in international Animated Short Film competition titled “We Art Water Film Festival 2015-2016”held in Spain. The final result of the festival was published on June 05, 2016 at Roca Barcelona Gallery where 30 best animated short films took part in the competition and “Happy World” animated short film made by a group of the students of the department of Multimedia and Creative Technology of Daffodil International University won the Championship getting highest vote by Jury board of the festival. Hasan Jobayer a final year student of department of Multimedia and Creative Technology of Daffodil International University is the team leader of the short film “Happy World”. The other members of the group are Bappy Rahman, Hayat Mahmud Rahat and Hossain Tarek of the same department.
Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees and Prof. Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University along with the winners and participants ISAS Logo Design Competetion at the reception program accorded to them at Daffodil International University.
On the other hand, Mohammad Mahir Mohaimen, a third year student of Multimedia and Creative Technology department of Daffodil International University became Champion in Internationalization Strategies Advisory Services (ISAS) invited Logo Design Completion organized by International Association of Universities held at Paris in France.
To celebrate both of these achievement , Daffodil International University accorded Grand Reception today on June 13, 2016 at university auditorium to the members of the both the winning teams of Daffodil International University for outstanding achievement at international Level.
Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University was present at the program as the chief guest. Presided over by Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University, the program was also addressed by Professor Dr. S. M. Mahabub-Ul Haque Majumder, Dean, , Faculty of Science and Information Technology ( FSIT),Prof. Dr. Golam Maowla Chowdhury, Proctor, Mr. Ahsan Habib, Renowned Cartoonist and Editor of Cartoon Magazine-“Unmad” and Prof. Dr. Md. Kabirul Islam, Head, Multimedia and Creative Technology department.
Addressing as the chief Md. Sabur Khan said, Animation is the most vibrant and thrust sector of ICT. The new generation can take our country in a new height in global world through this industry. In this information and communication age, there exists immense opportunities to uphold the potentiality of own skills in global arena. He congratulated the students for the outstanding achievement and urged them to come forward to participate more national and international level competition and contribute to the development of the country.
Professor Dr. Yousuf Mahbubul Islam congratulated the students for their out standing performance and hoped that in coming days DIU students will bring more glorious success for themselves as well as for the university.
