Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Rahman, Chief Information Commissioner, Information Commission, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh delivering his Keynote speech at the seminar on “Bangladeshe Ganomadhomer Bikash O Sangbad-Sogayanota” organized to mark the 10 Founding Anniversary of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Daffodil International University.

Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Daffodil International University celebrated its 10 Founding Anniversary today on June 04, 2016 through colorful daylong colorful programs including Seminar, discussion and gala cultural event.

A seminar on “Bangladeshe Ganomadhomer Bikash O Sangbad-Sogayanota” was held at DIU Auditorium. Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Rahman, Chief Information Commissioner, Information Commission, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh presented the Keynote speaker at the seminar. The panel discussants were Prof. Md. Mofizur Rahman, Chairman, Department of Mass Communication & Journalism, University of Dhaka, Prof. Helena Ferdousi, Chairperson, Department of Mass Communication and Journalism, Jagannath University, Mr. Robaet Ferdous, Associate Professor, Dept. of Mass Communication and Journalism, DU, Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Rahman, Chief Information Commissioner, Information Commission, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh, Professor, Department of Media and Communication, IUB.

Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Rahman, Chief Information Commissioner, Information Commission and Prof. Dr. Shakhawat Ali Khan along with other distinguished guests are seen cutting a cake to celebrate 10 Founding Anniversary of the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication of Daffodil International University.

 

At the end of the seminar a magazine titled “Dos Bachore Dos Dike” brought out by the students of the department was unveiled by the Adviser of the department Prof. Dr. Shakhawat Ali Khan along with other distinguished guests.

As a part of the celebration of 10 years of the department a cake cutting ceremony was organized where Prof. Dr. Md. Golam Rahman, Chief Information Commissioner, Information Commission, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh along with other distinguished guests were present. Later on, a commemorative discussion meeting and gala cultural events were organized.

A magazine titled “Dos Bachore Dos Dike” published by the students of the department of Journalism and Mass Communication of DIU was unveiled at the program by the Adviser of the department Prof. Dr. Shakhawat Ali Khan along with other distinguished guests.
