The Career Development Wing at Uttara Campus organized a Certificate Workshop on News Presentation Techniques for the students of Daffodil International University.
There were workshop sessions for four days where professionals working at different TV stations came and talked to the students. Mr. Golam Sarower, Trainer & Researcher, Konthoshilon dealt with Pronunciation & Articulation on 22nd May 2016; Mr. Saidur Rahman, Senior News Presenter, Channel-i talked about Interview Techniques on 24th May 2016; Ms. Tahsina Yasmin, Senior News Presenter, SA TV gave ideas about Presentation Skills on 25th May 2016; and Mr. Saiful Huda, Chief News Editor, SA TV presented on News Operating Procedures & TV Terminology on 26th May 2016.
On 28th May 2016 (Saturday) there was an evaluation session where Mr. Rana Abdullah evaluated the 29 participants’ news reading in the morning.
In the closing ceremony in the Auditorium of Uttara Campus at 5m on 29th May 2016, Mr. Syed Ishtiaque Reza, Director of News, Ekattor TV handed over certificates to all the participants as the Chief Guest. Jarin Tasnim Labonno from English Department, Sharmin Akter from Law Department, and Fatima Hossain Naurin from BBA Program received special crests for being the top performers. Dr Md. Harun-or Rashid, Deputy Director of Uttara Campus welcomed the audience. Mr. Anil Chandra Paul, Director Administration of Uttara Campus was present at the closing ceremony as special guests. The Convener of the Career Development Wing of Uttara Campus, Ms. Tahsina Yasmin presided over the ceremony.
