Mr. Russell Barczyk, the Regional English Language Officer, U.S Embassy and Ms. Raihana Sultana, Program Officer, Fulbright and English Language Programs, the American Center along with Professor A M M Hamidur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science and other faculty members of English Department.
A two member delegation team of the U.S department of State visited Daffodil International University, DT5 and reflected on the workshop titled, “Innovative Teaching Methodology: With and Without Technology” , organized by the Department of English DIU, in the Digital Classroom, from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. on 8th May, 2016.
The members of the delegation were Mr. Russell Barczyk, the Regional English Language Officer, U.S Embassy and Ms. Raihana Sultana, Program Officer, Fulbright and English Language Programs, the American Center. In the workshop, Ms.Shamsi Ara Huda, Assistant Professor and Head of English department shared her recent experience of Access Teacher Trainer Workshop,2016 in the U.S and Ms. Sadia Zafrin Lia and Ms.Mir Sadia Siddique Sifat, members of DIU Livecode team presented on “The Process of Developing brimEng: a language learning app of DIU”. Dr. Bipasha Binte Haque conducted the whole program while Professor A M M Hamidur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science delivered the welcome speech. The former head of the department Ms. Umme Kulsum was also present in the program along with the other faculty members of the department.
