Department of Business Administration of Daffodil International University organized a seminar on “SME Financing on Bangladesh: Prospects & Challenges” on 9th April, 2016 at Banquet Hall of DIU Tower-5. Mr. Md. Shaheen Howlader, Executive Vice President & head of Business of Modhumoti Bank Ltd. was present in the seminar as chief guest. Professor Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics of Daffodil International University presided over the seminar. Mr. Mohammad Ashiqur Rahman, AGM& Head of Regional Business, SME Division, IDLC Finance Ltd. presented the keynote paper in the seminar.
The Chief Guest has given a brief overview of SME trend in Bangladesh. The keynote speaker in his speech expressed and highlighted the Industrial Structure of SME Financing in Bangladesh, importance of SME, Prospective Sectors of SME, and Challenges etc. Professor Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics has focused on the prospects and purpose of SME Financing in context of Bangladesh Demand of 21st century.
Nearly 150 students and faculty members of Business Administration were present at the seminar to have a keen knowledge and idea about prospects & challenges of SME Financing.
