A 4 day International Training course on ‘Agro-Based Food Processing’ jointly organized by Daffodil International University (DIU), CIRDAP, IFIC Bank, BASIC Bank and Trust Bank completed on April 05, 2016 at DIU Auditorium. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, BoT, Daffodil International University presided over the program and distributed the certificates among the participants while Dr. Cecep Effendi, Director General, CIRDAP, Professor Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Vice Chancellor of DIU, Mr. T. I. M. Rawshan Zadeed, EVP & Head of SME Division, IFIC Bank Ltd, Dhaka, Mr. Renanti Talukder, Sr. Vice President, Trust Bank Ltd and Mr. Khondoker Md. Iqbal, Managing Director, BASIC Bank Ltd were present at the closing and certificate giving ceremony of the four-day international training.

The program was also addressed among others by Dr. Eva Benita A. Tuzon, Director, CIRDAP, Professor Dr. Ahmad Ismail Mustafa, Dean, Faculty of Allied Health Science of Daffodil International University and Mr. Abu Taher Khan, Project Director, IIC, DIU.
In his presidential address Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, BoT of Daffodil International University (DIU) said We spoil excessive agro-food all around us because we do not know the value and how to utilize this food. He thanked the international trainers as because it is possible to create an extra value from this thing. He also mentioned that beside all other banks, DIU will support the participants of the training to spread out their products in the market. Female participants of the training can use Daffodil Business Incubator for their business establishment.
A total of 30 female participants from Daffodil International University (DIU), IFIC Bank and BASIC Bank took part in the training and received certificates. The program was conducted by Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director (Student' Affair) of Daffodil International University.
