Daffodil International University organized a Online Photo Competition and Exhibition today on March 01, 2016 at DIU Auditorium. Prof. Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University was present as the chief guest at the closing and Award Giving Ceremony of the Online Photo Contest. Emeritus Professor Dr. Aminul Islam and Emeritus Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahaman were present as the special guests while Mr. Zia Islam, Chief Photographer of Prothom Alo was present as the guest of Honour. Presided over by Dr. Mostafa Kamal, Director Permanent Campus, the program was addressed by Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director (Student Affairs).

More than one thousand students submitted their photographs on 14th Foundation Anniversary. Among them 130 photographs were selected for final Exhibition and 30 photographs were selected for prizes. The photograph of Rubayet Shuvro of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department adjudged as the Champion while the picture of Mahabubul Haque Shihab of Textile Engineering Department and Riad Uddin of Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department became 1st and 2nd Runner Up respectively.
While addressing as the chief guest Prof. Yousuf M. Islam Said, Students are the life of the university and with their spontaneous participation every events become colored and lively. Now days, almost everyone has a smart phone or DSLR camera which is helpful for them to take a picture instantly. A picture tells about a story of thousand words. He urged the students to uphold the memorable moments of their university life through photography and to be a proud part of the history of the university.

Early in the morning, Founder Vice Chancellor and Eneritus Professor Dr. Aminul Islam inaugurated the Exhibition.Ms. Farhana Helal Mehtab, Head, Department of Law and Md. Anwar Habib Kazal, Senior Assistant Director (PR) of the university were present in the inaugural ceremony.
