Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University (DIU) led a delegation from Bangladesh to the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) High-Level Meeting on Asia Academic Collaboration, held in Siam University, Bangkok, Thailand from 24-25, February 2016. More than hundred delegates from the 71 Asian countries attended the program.
It is a historical moments for Bangladesh and Daffodil International University while Asia Cooperation Dialogue (An Government affiliated organization represents 71 Country of Asia) invited Daffodil International University to represent Bangladesh on behalf of all educational institutions and signed in presence of all standing committee members and 10 Ambassador of various countries during the event.
Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) is a Government affiliated forum that represents 71 Countries of Asia, including Bangladesh. It is to be noted that, United Nations replaced its ‘Millennium Development Goals’ to ‘Sustainable Development Goals’ (SDG) and Education is one of the 17 UNSDGs that the UN has focused for creating resounding impacts among nations. As a part of this, recommended by the UN, this ACD forum has been originated for the first time, where Chief Advisor to Ban Ki - Moon, the Secretary-General of UN, Mr. Chung Rae Kwon was also present to represent the UN.

The conference is a forum to discuss among Asian countries by leveraging the strengths and the potential of each country and put an emphasis on international cooperation in education. The conference was addressed by Dr. Pornchai Mongkhonavanit, President of Siam University, Mr. Chung Rae Kwon, Chief Advisor to Ban Ki - Moon, the Secretary-General of UN the President of Asia E University, the Office of Higher Education Commission of Thailand (OHEC), Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University and the ACD Secretary General Mr. Bundit Limschoon.
