Ms. Rebecca Arnold, Project Director of Bangladesh Knowledge Management Initiatives (BKMI) addressing as the Guest of Honor at the workshop Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC)
An e- Learning workshop on Social and Behavior Change Communication (SBCC) organized by the Dept of Public Health, under Faculty of Allied Health Sciences of Daffodil International University was held on February 23, 2016 at the conference room of the Daffodil Tower-5. The training was conducted and supported by Bangladesh Knowledge Management Initiatives (BKMI), a sister concern of Bangladesh Centre for Communication Program (BCCP). BKMI projects jointly implemented by Johns Hopkins University Centre for Communication Programs (JHU.CCP) and BCCP-BKMI is funded by USAID.
The Program was inaugurated by the Dean of Faculty of Allied Health Sciences, DIU, Professor A.I. Mustafa as Chief Guest. Ms. Rebecca Arnold, Project Director of BKMI was present as the Guest of Honor. The program was coordinated by Prof.Dr. M S A Mansur Ahmed, Professor, Dept. of Public Health. All faculty members includingsenior most Professor Dr. S M Keramat Ali and Dr. Md. Shahjahan, Associate Professor& Head of the Department of Public Health participated in the program actively.
Dr. Ferdous Hakim, research officer of the BCCP facilitated the program while Ms. Rebecca Arnold briefed about the BKMI projects and its operations in Bangladesh.
All Faculty Members took active participation in the training workshop comprising of 4 (four)modules which was considered to be very useful for strengthening and capacity building in respect of Social and behavior change communication skills of the stakeholders for improvement of overall health situation in Bangladesh.
