Winners of ‘Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award’ along with distinguished guests pose for a photograph
Twenty students from different departments of Daffodil International University (DIU) have got ‘Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award’ at the Certificate Confer Ceremony. They all have got Bronze Award.
Mr. Rizwan Bin Farouq, Chairman of Executive Committee and Mr. K. M. Shariful Huda, Director of Duke of Edinburgh’s Award Foundation, Bangladesh handed over the awards to the awardees at the DIU Auditorium on Sunday evening.
Honorable Vice Chancellor of DIU Dr. Yusuf M. Islam presided over the ceremony. Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman of BoT of DIU was presented as chief guest and Mr. Rizwan Bin Farouq and Mr. K. M. Shariful Huda were the special guests of the function. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director of Students’ Affairs coordinated the ceremony.
Among the Awardees Ms. Nafiza Rahman Mou said, “During my graduation, I have achieved so many awards but it is because of the Duke of Edinburgh’s Award giving foundation-I could institutionalize my achievements as international.”
Mr. Md. Sabur Khan congratulated the awardees and said that this award would assist to create healthy competitive environment and positive approach among young generation.
Mr. Farouq said, “You have to take challenges from right now. I think this award teach us to take challenges.”
Professor A. M. M. Hamidur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science and other students from different departments were also present during the ceremony.
