Dhaka University Debating Club became Champion in university level of Daffodil International University Debating Club (DIU DC) National Debate Festival held from January 21 to February 13, 2015. In Collage level Saint Joseph College became Champion and Government Sscience College became Runner Up while Motijheel Ideal School champion and Government Laboratory School became Runner Up in School level. A total of 32 university team, 16 college team and 24 school team participated in the DIU DC National Debate Festival.

Presided over by Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University, Prof. Dr. Mizanur Rahman, Chairman, National Human Rights Commission was present as the guest of honor. The program was addressed by Prof. Dr. Yousuf M Isalm, Vice Chancellor, Emeritus Professor Dr. Aminul Islam, Professor AMM Hamidur Rahman, Dean, Faculty of Humanities and Social Science, Ms. Farhana Helal Mehtab, Moderator, Erfan Elahi Sharif, President DIU DC.
Addressing as the chief guest Dr. Dipu Moni MP said, Debate opens lots of doors of Knowledge and people walking through the doors go a step ahead. Debate creates priority of logic, breaks down the blind confidence and creates an opportunity to look into a matter in different ways. Debate teaches highest level of tolerance and creates society which is potential to build a democratic society, she added. She urged the youth to be involved and participate more and more in debate competition to build a democratic society in coming days.
