Among the 32 Debating teams of 32 Public & Private Universities, Daffodil International University Debating Club (DIUDC) won the Runner up position losing against Dhaka University Debating Society (DUDS) in the final round of the 2nd GUDC Inter University Debate Championship 2015. Before the Final Round, Daffodil International University Debating Club won 4 debates in that Inter University Debate Competition. Md Shahjahan Ali Molla, Secretary, Bangladesh Public Service Commission distributed prizes among the winners as the chief guest on November 28, 2015 while Vice Chancellor of Green University, Professor Dr. Golam Samdani Fakir chaired the award giving ceremony. The members of the DIU DC are Al Mukitul Bary of EEE department, Md Mesbahuddin Hasib of CSE department and Omer Faruque Simanta of ESDM department.
In the Final Round there were 7 judges who are the moderators of different Debating Clubs and former debaters of University of Dhaka. Madam Frahana Helal Mehtab, former debater of DUDS and Moderator of DIUDC was honored by being the Speaker of the Final Parliamentary Session.
