Ms Selima Ahmed, President, Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI) addressing as the chief guest at the workshop on “Women in Digital” at Daffodil International University
The faculty of Business and Economics and the Career Development Center of Daffodil International University jointly organized and conducted a very exclusive workshop titled “Women in Digital” held on 21st November, 2015 (Saturday) at DIU Auditorium. Ms Selima Ahmed, President, Bangladesh Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BWCCI) were present in the seminar as the chief guest while Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Honorable Chairman, Daffodil Group and Board of Trustees of Daffodil International University, Mr. Sukumol Sinha Chowdhury, country renowned SME expert, SME faculty consultant BIBM and Bangladesh Bank and Dr. Yusuf Mahbubul Islam, Honorable Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University were present as the special guests. The workshop was also addressed by Professor Rafiqul Islam, Dean, Faculty of Business and Economics, Ms. Achia Khaleda Nila, founder Women In Digital, Mr. Syed Maruf Reza, Director, Career Development Center, Mr. Debasish Sarkar, International Trainer, Evolve360 learning solutions, New Delhi, India and Mr. Shumsud Doha, Assistant Director, Career Development Center of Daffodil International University.
Heads of respective departments, Senior Faculty members and a good number of students from different departments were present during the auspicious event and enjoyed the program through sharing their experience, opinions and views.
Ms. Selima Ahmed on her speech encouraged the female participants to move forward in order to change themselves and change the society. Mr. Md. Sabur Khan delivered motivational speech and urged the women to come forward to become an entrepreneur to contribute to the national development of the country.
Honorable Vice Chancellor on his speech inspired the students not to hide but flourish their talent and get the identity of their own. Students from different departments especially the female students of Daffodil International University were the major participants in the workshop. Mr. Shajed Evan discussed HTML & CSS, Mr. Tanbeem Amin discussed Graphic with 3D animation, Mr. Abu Sufian Nilove discussed Product Photography and Mr. Ali Imran discussed digital marketing.
Trainers at the workshop underscored the need of empowering the women for country’s development, growth and contribution. The speakers discussed HTML&CSS, Graphic Design with 3D animation, Product Photography and Digital Marketing which provided the participants a clear idea about how these four things are very important in real life work field and create lot of opportunities for empowering women.
