The department of Computer Science & Engineering of Daffodil International University , Uttara campus organized a seminar titled, "Contemporary issues in Computer Science" presented by Prof. Dr. Syed Akhter Hossain, Head, department of CSE, Daffodil International University on 15 November 2015 at DIU-UC Auditorium. Dr. Syed Akhter Hossain was the main speaker of the seminar and delivered an informative multimedia presentation on different latest technologies such as Big Data & Data Analytics, Challenges using Big Data, Cyber security and Future career in IT sector.
The seminar was addressed by Mr. Narayan Ranjan Chakraborty, Associate Head, Department of CSE, Ms. Tanzina Hossain, Academic Director (Uttara Campus), Mr. Anil Chandra Paul, Director Admin (Uttara Campus), Ms. Nazmoon Nessa Moon, Assistant Professor (CSE), Ms. Naznin Sultana, Assistant Professor (CSE), Ms. Fernaz Narin Nur, Senior Lecturer (CSE) of Daffodil International University.
Speaker at the seminar focused on the upcoming challenges in cyber security, the vulnerability of data and IT security & latest research on Information Technology. He also highlighted the huge opportunity and scope in IT sector and gave valuable suggestions to the students on how to cope up and prepare themselves for the job market. More than two hundred students of the CSE department attended the seminar. The participants found the presentation an effective, engaging and most informative one which was followed by an exciting question-answer session.
