Creating job opportunities for the retired armed forces personnel and youngsters of the nation, a two day long ‘Career Fest 2015’ began today on November 14, 2015 at capital’s RAOWA Convention Center. Retired Armed Forces Officers Welfare Association (RAOWA) and country’s first job site Jobsbd.com are jointly organized the fair held from November 14-15, 2015. Career Development Center (CDC) of Daffodil International University is the strategic partner of the Career Fest 2015. Mr. Anisur Rahman Sinha, Chairman, Opex Garments and Sinha Textile inaugurated the fair as the chief guest while Mr. Musharrof Hossain, President, Bangladesh Society for Human Resources Management (BSHRM) was present as the special guest. RAOWA Chairman Major M Taneem Hasan presided over the inaugural ceremony. The function was also addressed by Mr. KM. Hasan Ripon, CEO, jobsbd.com and Lt. Col. S. M. Firoj Ahmed, Social Welfare Member RAOWA.
Addressing as the chief guest Mr. Anisur Rahman Sinha said, This Career Fest would act as a bridging point between Job Seekers and Employers, Learners & Institutions. This is an opportunity to place right man in the right place, he added. He also said, the intension is to help the retired armed forces personnel to find a suitable jobs after their retirement, the fresher to find their dream jobs, the employers to find their suitable candidates, the young people to find the right academic path.
The two-day long Career Fest 2015 includes: Job Showcase, Spot Interview Sessions, Seminar, Workshop, Career Guidelines and Meet the Leaders Sessions, new job opening, resume appraisals, Career clinic with skills assessment test, entrepreneur’s guidance camp, Master Classes, panel discussions focused on jobs, entrepreneurship, self employment, women entrepreneurship and many more.
