Jumpstarting your business is no longer only about friends, family and fools. GITR introduces a fourth F: fans who can invest their knowledge, network, money and time in a Startup. That’s because Startups are just like rock stars – they need the support of fans in order to become successful. And that’s exactly what Get in the Ring helps to accomplish! Get in the Ring (GITR), known as “the Olympics for startups” puts startups in the spotlight, giving them a global podium from which to connect with investors and create a fan base.
Worldwide in the Get in the Ring competition, prizes with a value of more than €500.000 have been awarded to winners of finals. However GITR is not about winning prizes. It’s about much more: creating value through building a fan base and connecting with investors. Startups that reach the finals of GITR have proven to have a high chance of attracting investments.
More than 80% of last year’s international finalists have managed to find investors. One great example is Eyeverify, the GITR global winner for 2013, which raised an impressive 6 million of funding capital. Beyond the potential for investments, GITR sees many of its participating Startups finding, for example, customers and new team members through the competition. To date, a total of more than €12 million has been invested in GITR finalists through the fans and other investors they’ve connected with through the battle.
Get in the Ring offers promising startups a podium to create fans all over the world. This podium exists of a global competition, and an online platform through which fans from all over the world can connect with these startups. The uniqueness of this concept lies in the features of the podium which are personal, understandable, fun, engaging, and competitive.
Get in the Ring is known for its unique pitching format. At Get in the Ring two startups literally face off against each other in the ring. During five brief rounds they present their startup to a jury of Champions and a global audience of potential fans. If you have a business with unique features and just growing or if you are an owner of a fresh startup idea then get ready to pitch in front of the world.
