Winners of 7th Interdepartmental Debate Competition 2015 of DIU along with distinguished guests
Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) Department became Champion in Asian Parliamentary Debate (Bangla) while Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department became Champion in British Parliamentary Debate (English) of 7th Interdepartmental Debate Competition 2015.
Daffodil International University Debating Club (DIU DC) organized the competition in observance of its 11 Years Anniversary Celebration from October 14-16, 2015 at DIU Auditorium. Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department became Runner Up in Asian Parliamentary Debate while Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) Department became Runner up in British Parliamentary Debate.
The legend debater of the 80s & the 90s of Dhaka University and the Founder President of Bangladesh Debate Foundation (BDF), Mr BiruPaksha Paul, Ph.D., was present as the Chief Guest while Prof. Dr. Yousuf M. Islam, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University was present as the guest of Honor in the closing and award giving ceremony of the competition. Presided over by Farhana Helal Mehtab, Moderator, DIU DC, the award giving ceremony was addressed among others by Professor Dr Golam Rahman, Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr. Aminul Islam , Founder Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University, Mr. Sanjib Shaha, President BDF, Mr. Safayat Ahmed, Founder President, Jayantu Bhoumik, Rashed Ratul, Erfan Elahi Sharif, President DIUDC.

Earlier, Founder Vice Chancellor of Daffodil International University & Emeritus Professor Dr. Aminul Islam inaugurated the competition as chief guest on October 14, 2015 where Pro Vice Chancellor, Professor Dr Golam Rahman was also present as the Special Guest
There were 12 Bangla Debate Teams and 12 English Debate Teams of different departments of DIU that participated in the competition in the Asian Parliamentary Format and the British Parliamentary Format debate respectively.
The Members of Champion team of Asian Parliamentary Debate (Bangla) of EEE department is Al Mukitul Bari, Md. Ibrahim Ali and Mohammed Shihab and Runner Up team members of CSE department are Md. Mesbahuddin Hasib, Fahim Md. Riyaz and Mim Jannat.
The Members of Champion team of British Parliamentary Debate (English) of CSE department is Asif Ahmed & Ziya Uddin Ahmad and Runner Up team members of EEE are Al Mukitul Bari & Mohammed Shihab.
In the program 11 years of Founding Anniversary was celebrated through cake cutting. A large number of Ex debaters of DIU DC attended the program.
