“7th Palli Kabi Inter Club Debate Championship 2015” Runner Up winner Daffodil International University Debating Club members receiving winning Trophy from Prof. Dr. A A M S Arefin Siddique, Vice Chancellor, University of Dhaka.
Daffodil International University Debating Club (DIUDC) became Runner Up in the “7th Palli Kabi Inter Club Debate Championship 2015” losing in the final round against Debating Club Haji Mohammad Muhsin Hall of Dhaka University yesterday on August 29, 2015. To mark the 20th Founding Anniversary of Kabi Jasim Uddin Hall Debate Club (KJHDC) the championship held from from 26-29 August, 2015 where a total of 44 teams from 35 Public and private University Debating Clubs took part in the debate competition.
Professor Dr. A A M S Arefin Siddique, Vice Chancellor, University of Dhaka was the Chief Guest while Mr. A K Azad, Former President FBCCI was present as the special guest in the closing ceremony of the championship and distributed prizes among the winners. Daffodil International University Debating Club team comprised with Omar Faruque Simanta of ESDM department as leader and the other members are Md. Mesbahuddinfn Hasib of CSE department and Al Mukitul Bary of EEE department.
Before reaching Final Round, DIUDC had to face 5 round debates and had to defeat five other teams like: Jahangirnagar University,Ekushey Hall, DU, Shamsun Nahar Hall, DU, Muhsin Hall, DU, Eden Girl’s College and United International University.
